How It Started.
Carrie Goldberg, Creative Director of CLG Creative and stylist to some of the world’s most stylish brides contacted me as she was styling a bride planning to say “I Do” on the Côte d’Azur. Anticipating a need for an alterations specialist, my team was brought on board.
From my first meeting with this beautiful couple, Shashana & Domantas, I could tell this was going to be a special project.
The outfits were simply stunning. Carrie had expertly blended custom pieces with amazing gowns fresh from the catwalk, to vintage garments sourced from top fashion houses to create a bridal wardrobe to be envied.
The bride opted for a fun, flirty Alexander McQueen dress from their vintage collection for her welcome party. In order to tailor it for her petite frame, I had to cut into it…shh please don’t tell on me!
It’s ok, I sewed it back together again!
Onto the Boys!
I arrived at the stunning Villa Schifanoia in Villefranche-sur-Mer for the consultation and fittings with the groomsmen and the groom.
All of the suits, created by Los Angeles tailor Alba Legacy, arrived just 3 days before the wedding and that was the first time many of the groomsmen had had the opportunity to try them on. These men were serious about how good they wanted to look, and of course I was happy to assist. Every single suit needed to be custom fitted to each groomsman in less than 24 hours! Who needs sleep anyway.
I didn’t take any pictures of me altering the menswear because nobody wants to see pictures of me at my sewing machine at 2am!!

The Wedding Day
Arrival at Villa Shifanoia for Jour-J with, Solene, my assistant couturière.
With our sewing machines all setup we commenced with the final preparations for Shashana & Domantas’ big day.
Our goal on a wedding day is the same as our client’s: we want every single person involved in the wedding to look impeccable and feel comfortable and glamourous.
If that means, adjusting a dress 1 hour before an event, hemming trousers and skirts at the final moment, and even pre-tying a groomsmen’s tie, then we are at your service!
The final result: happy, smiling faces. Everyone looking and feeling their best. And flawless pictures to revisit again and again.
